California banks Village View Escrow Inc. and Professional Business Bank are in the middle of a dispute concerning a hacker infiltration.

Village View Escrow filed suit against Professional Business Bank claiming the bank is liable for the losses they incurred because of the infiltration.Hackers were able to access Professional Business Bank’s online bank account and take $465,000 from Village View Escrow’s bank account.

In the lawsuit, Village View Escrow is seeking compensation for their financial loss and reimbursement for online banking service fees paid to Professional Business Bank between 2008 and 2010.  Furthermore, Village View Escrow is seeking damages from the loan penalties and interest the bank incurred because of the hacking.
