Woodbridge HS student marches in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Last week, a local high school student marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City with the Macy’s Great American Marching Band.  The 16-year old alto saxophone player, Bryce St. Peter, was one of only three students in California invited to join the band for the 85th annual parade.

St. Peter marches in Woodbridge High School’s band and joined more than 200 other high school students from all over the United States to play in the parade’s honor band.  The sax player was the only student from Orange County to join the Macy’s Great American Marching Band this year.

Thousands of students sent in audition tapes to be selected to march with the band in this year’s parade.  St. Peter and others selected for the band were asked to memorize two songs and learn to march with the group in only 3 days.

The trip was the first time St. Peter had been to New York.  He began playing the saxophone in the fourth grade and is currently the section leader of a group of 25 other alto sax players at Woodbridge High School.

The Orange County business litigation attorneys of DAILY ALJIAN LLP would like to congratulate St. Peter and Woodbridge High School on this special accomplishment.
