Daniel Hyun is an associate at Daily Aljian LLP. Mr. Hyun’s practice primarily involves employment, business, personal injury, and real estate claims, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Hyun has played a critical role in prosecuting and settling multi-million- dollar class action lawsuits, and obtaining large individual settlements on behalf of his clients. Mr. Hyun was born in Torrance, California. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in Political Science: Public Law, and Communications from the University of California, San Diego. While at UCSD, Mr. Hyun received multiple Provost’s Honors and attended summer courses at Yonsei University, in Seoul, South Korea.
Mr. Hyun earned his Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, and also studied for a year as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Hyun was a Scholar in Law Recipient, associate editor for Washington University’s Journal of Law and Policy, CALI Award Winner, and made the Dean’s List.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Hyun worked at a long-standing employment and class action law firm in Orange County where he helped obtain millions of dollars on behalf of California employees. He also worked for a law firm in Beverly Hills where he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in business, real estate, employment, and personal injury claims. Mr. Hyun has volunteered at the Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County by providing services such as filing wage and hour claims, unemployment claims, and criminal expungements.
Mr. Hyun is admitted to practice before all California courts. He is also a member of various legal organizations, including the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, California Employment Lawyers Association, and California State Bar’s Labor and Employment section. In his free time, Mr. Hyun enjoys golfing, going to the gym, spending time with his family and friends, and assisting low income individuals on a pro bono basis.
